Professor Irakli Natroshvili, Rector of TSMU and Aleksandre Buachidze the TSMU Chancellor congratulated the 100-anniversary to the Academician Eter Kemertelidze.

Eter Kemertelidze is widely recognized as one of the founders of phytochemistry and pharmacochemistry in Georgia. She is the author of numerous scientific works, with research primarily focused on biologically active compounds of plant origin. Under her leadership, several original medicinal products have been developed based on her studies. Her achievements have been acknowledged through multiple national and international awards, and she holds high prestige within the global scientific community. Notably, she was invited by the Chemistry Nobel Committee of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences to nominate candidates for the Nobel Prize and was also nominated for an international peace award. Academician Eter Kemertelidze continues to actively engage in scientific work and contributes to the education and development of younger generations.
